Refund / Return Policy

Non-NFA firearms purchased from 1836gunshop.com can be returned as long as they are still in the receiving FFL’s possession. These items are subject to a restocking fee (15% or $35 – whichever is greater) and the return shipping fee to be deducted from any refund.

Be sure to inspect the item thoroughly for any possible defects or blemishes before picking up from the receiving FFL dealer; failure to do so will result in the item being non-returnable.

If you notice any defects or blemishes, please reach out to us directly at [email protected] to provide photos. We will do our best to review and contact you within 24-48 hours with the best possible solution: replacement (if available), refund or store credit.

NFA Item Cancellation & Refund Policy

Below are the fees that will apply at the various stages of NFA item order processing:

• Order Received – Form 3 not yet submitted: 10% Processing Fee
• Form 3 Submitted or Approved – Item not Shipped: 20% Processing Fee
• Form 3 Approved by ATF – Item shipped: No refund
• Form 4 Submitted: No refund

Non-returnable items:

Gift cards 
Any item purchased as used, open box, demonstration or “Demo” product, blemished or “Blem” product.
Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery.
Any ammunition

Any Optics, which includes electronic or non-electronic optics and magnifiers

Refunds (if applicable)

If your return meets the criteria set forth above, then your refund will be processed (less shipping cost and all applicable fees), within 5 business days.
